The Brooks County Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a rough 70-50 defeat at the hands of Colquitt County. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Brooks County of the 66-48 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Despite the loss, Brooks County still got an impressive performance from Kanilyn Jones, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Facari Chatmon, who scored nine points.
Even though they lost, Brooks County were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. This was only their 13th loss (out of 18 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Brooks County dropped their record down to 5-18 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Colquitt County, their win bumped their record up to 5-19.
