Softball Recap: Arnold Has No Trouble Against Bozeman

Bozeman typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Arnold proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Bucks. The result was nothing new for the Marlins, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Bre Clark's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lily Cobb, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Justice Taylor, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Cobb wasn't the only one making solid contact: Arnold kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in five consecutive matches.

Arnold pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Bozeman, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arnold will host Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bozeman, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Blountstown at 6:00 p.m.
