After a string of four wins, The Shiloh Christian Saints''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Farmington by a score of 31-28. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Shiloh Christian came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Farmington is ranked 51st).
Farmington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Lester, who threw for 243 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Luke Elsik also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Shiloh Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Farmington, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Shiloh Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairie Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Farmington, they will head out on the road to face off against Pea Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pea Ridge is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
