The Chowchilla Tribe are taking a road trip to  face off against the Liberty Hawks  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Chowchilla is headed into the  game after thoroughly thrashing Caruthers: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tribe blew the Blue Raiders out of the water with  a  47-7 final score. The Tribe have beaten the Blue Raiders the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Blue Raiders has come to flipping the script.

 Tristan Beardsley was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 119 yards and three  touchdowns on only nine carries. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mateo Martinez, who rushed for 68 yards and one  TD.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chowchilla was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 366  rushing yards. They are 5-1 when  they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, Liberty made easy work of Riverdale  on Friday and carried off  a  41-20 win. The  matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Hawks had established  a  20-point advantage.
 Liberty's defense made their presence known, laying out  Xaidyn Camacho five times. Riverdale's QB  won't forget  Brody Sisco anytime soon given he sacked him twice.
 Chowchilla's record is now 6-3. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 9-0.
Friday's   contest might be decided on the ground. Chowchilla has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 272  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 355.9  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 Chowchilla took their  victory against Liberty  when the teams last played  back in November of 2024 by a conclusive  63-42 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tribe since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
