On Thursday, Purdue Broad Ripple had to suffer through a rough 70-31 loss at the hands of Northside L. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Purdue Broad Ripple has scored all season.
DUKE KARNES was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with five steals for Northside L. KARNES has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was JOEY HEASTON, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Purdue Broad Ripple now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Northside L, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purdue Broad Ripple will stay at home for another game and welcome Phalen Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. Northside L will be home for the holidays to greet Miami Valley HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Miami Valley HomeSchool will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 273rd in Ohio, while Northside L is ranked 18th in Indiana).
