If the Donoho Falcons were feeling good off their 76-27 takedown of the Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Donoho fell just short of Wadley by a score of 72-69. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wadley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tedrick Burns, who scored 24 points. That's the first time this season that Burns scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damarious Spraddling, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and four steals.
Donoho has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Wadley, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Donoho will head out on the road to face off against Saks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Saks is ranked 344th, while Donoho is ranked 357th). Wadley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
