Dawson entered their tilt with Shadow Creek on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took down the Shadow Creek Sharks 69-54. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Sharks are ranked 195th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shadow Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Da'Niyah Lewis, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Gianna Gentry, who earned nine points.

Dawson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Shadow Creek, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dawson will take on Pearland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Dawson has won four straight at home, while Pearland won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Shadow Creek, they will square off against Dobie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
