Southeast Yosemite recap Sept. 26, 2012
Garces made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 469 from 774. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 41-6 victory over Stockdale last week.
Cruise Adams and Sheldon Croney gave the Rams a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Adams threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns, while Croney ran for 76 yards. Dominic Frasch also contributed to the rushing game with 49 yards on the ground.
Tevin Beasley was the best wideout in Southeast Yosemite this week as East Bakersfield fell to Wasco. Beasley tallied six receptions for 104 yards. Micah Flores helped East Bakersfield's passing attack out by catching one ball for 62 yards.
Garces' Adams and Angus Bellue have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Adams has thrown for 1137 yards this season, while Bellue, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 20 catches for 451 yards. Foothill's Brandon Fanning leads the league in rushing yards with 490.
Jim Maples's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on the Mustangs. Adams ran for 16 yards in the win.
