The Rochester Zebras will take on the Knox Redskins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rochester has seven straight victories, Knox has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Rochester's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Manchester with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Zebras have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bria Rensberger made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. Those 18 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Aubrey Wilson was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Darah Strasser was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Rochester hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Knox didn't have quite enough to beat Glenn on Tuesday and fell 10-9.
Elise Wolff made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Addison Sponaugle, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Rochester's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Knox, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Knox's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rochester has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Knox, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given Rochester's sizable advantage in that area, the Redskins will need to find a way to close that gap.
