The contest between Lexington and Central Davidson wasn't particularly close, with Lexington falling 59-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lexington in their matchups with Central Davidson: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lexington lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lily Ervin. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Dearmon, who scored 8 points.
It was another big night for Aubrey Garrison, who scored 25 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals for Central Davidson. The game was Garrison's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Trantham, who scored 7 points.
Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Central Davidson, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
Lexington will head out on the road to face off against Walkertown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walkertown comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Central Davidson, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Alexander Central at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
