Green Addison posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Addison's strong effort led Cary-Grove over Vernon Hills and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
