Basketball Recap: Tombstone's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Tombstone came tearing into Monday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mohave Accelerated Patriots 75-43. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 26 points or more this season.

Leading Tombstone to victory were Damaris Alvarez and Rachel Thursby. Alvarez posted 28 points, while Thursby scored 19 points. Alvarez's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Briella Schuller, who put up six points.

Tombstone pushed their record up to 25-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for Mohave Accelerated, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-9.

Coming up, Tombstone will face off against Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Miami is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season. Mohave Accelerated does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
