After soaring to 55 points the game before, Lighthouse Prep Academy were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 47-25 walloping at the hands of Columbia Independent. Lighthouse Prep Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Grant King, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Jonah Taggart, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Heritage Academy, who are still winless after their fifth game. They fell 48-40 to Clinton Christian Academy on Thursday.
Lighthouse Prep Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Heritage Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
Lighthouse Prep Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Heritage Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 46-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lighthouse Prep Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
