Make it six blowout wins for the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Barry Western 77-40 at home. That looming 77-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Quincy Notre Dame yet this season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Smith, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jedd Abney, who scored ten points.
The victory was the third in a row for Quincy Notre Dame, bringing their record for this year to 12-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Barry Western, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quincy Notre Dame will take on Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Barry Western, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rushville-Industry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
