The Scappoose Indians pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Astoria. Scappoose was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Astoria apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 5th.
Colton Sprenger and Elijah Greenan Biggs certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Sprenger scored 14 points along with two steals, while Greenan Biggs scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Butler, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Scappoose and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Astoria, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.
