First Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Texas Christian Academy Panthers. One positive for First Baptist, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

First Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South Texas Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

First Baptist will square off against Macedonian Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Texas Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Harvest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
