If Oakman was riding high fresh off their 26-3 takedown of Indian Springs on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Oakman Wildcats took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corner Yellow Jackets on Tuesday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Hampton Hall made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Driver, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Oakman's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Corner, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakman will take on Southeastern at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Oakman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Corner, they are taking a road trip to square off against Jasper at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
