South Fork has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Quincy Trojans on Thursday. Hopefully South Fork is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Quincy in California (South Fork is ranked 399th, while Quincy is ranked 1091st).
Last Tuesday, South Fork came up short against Fortuna and fell 60-50. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Fork in their matchups with Fortuna: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Quincy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Los Molinos by a score of 69-61. Winning may never get old, but Quincy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
South Fork's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3. As for Quincy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
