The Gosnell Pirates can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past Harrisburg 57-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jakobe Tate, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Axel Heeb, who scored 17 points.
Gosnell's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Harrisburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-20.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gosnell will take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harrisburg, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Colts at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. One thing working in Rivercrest's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
