Moffat County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss. They fell  71-64 to the Middle Park Panthers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in December of 2023.
 Moffat County lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Jr Welch, who  posted 19  points and seven  boards. Welch also put up a  block, which washis first of the season.  Trayson Carlson was another key player,  going 6 for 11  on his way to 14 points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.
 Middle Park was led to victory by  Vinny Scaturro and  Marqes Pasillas.  Scaturro  dropped  a double-double on 16  points and ten  boards, while  Pasillas  almost  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and nine  rebounds. The dominant performance gave  Pasillas a new career-high in  boards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Joey Gagnon, who  had 15  points.
Moffat County's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Middle Park, the  win was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
 Moffat County has already played their next contest,  a  66-38  victory against Rifle on the 18th. Middle Park has also already played their next  match (against Fort Lupton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
