We expected Marion to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Richlands on Friday, and they did. Marion have to be aching after a bruising 6-30 defeat to Richlands. Marion's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the matchup before. The game pushed Marion down to 3-4 and pulled Richlands up to the reverse at 4-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Marion take on Tazewell at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. As for Richlands, they will face off against Graham. Graham have averaged 46.75 points over the course of their past four games, so Richlands might be in for a challenge.
