The El Dorado Wildcats fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Sylvan Hills 42-13 at home. That's another feather in the cap for El Dorado, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
El Dorado found their leader in underclassman Mitchell Polk, who threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per attempt. The team also got some help courtesy of Bretaveon Brown, who gained 59 total yards and two touchdowns.
El Dorado's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Spencer Poole and his two sacks.
El Dorado's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Sylvan Hills, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
El Dorado will head out on the road to face off against Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Catholic will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Sylvan Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
