The Lions not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024 (when they won 18-1).
Tristan Highbarger made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Highbarger was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since April 3rd.
In other batting news, Bluestem got a big performance out of Aiden Worrell, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave Worrell a new career-high. Gabe Oltman was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI and one run.
Bluestem always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bluestem's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Udall, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13.
