The South Dearborn Knights lost against the South Ripley Raiders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. South Dearborn took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Ripley. That's two games in a row now that South Dearborn has lost by exactly nine points.
Despite the loss, South Dearborn saw an underclassman step up: Scout Gray scored 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gray has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brodie Teke, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
South Dearborn's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for South Ripley, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
South Dearborn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-60 win vs. Milan on the 10th. South Ripley has also already played their next matchup, a 47-24 loss against Seymour on the 10th.
