Central was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They never let the Citrus Hurricanes get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Hurricanes last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Tristan King made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

King wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Korbin Baskind, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Central's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10. As for Citrus, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
