It was another big night for Ben Cobb, who dropped a double-double on 44 points and ten rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cornerstone Prep Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Dichiara, who scored 18 points.
Cornerstone Prep Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Hearts Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Prep Academy will face off against Cherokee Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 196 points over their last three matchups. Hearts Academy and North Kissimmee Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
