Madison County has gone 8-2 against Lafayette recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Madison County Cowboys will take on the Lafayette Hornets. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Madison County comes in on four and Lafayette on six.
Madison County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Suwannee to the tune of 85-16 on Saturday. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Jaidyn Wesley and Jahlaya Wilson were among the main playmakers for Madison County as the former went 10 of 22 en route to 29 points in addition to six boards and six steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. With that strong performance, Wesley is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ralsharee Robinson, who posted six points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
Madison County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Lafayette narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Chiefland 51-48.
Madison County better keep an eye on Kiley Beach. She was instrumental in Lafayette's win, going 7 for 12 on her way to 19 points and three steals. Beach has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Kendrick, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards.
Lafayette is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.4 points per game. As for Madison County, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Madison County has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 36.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Lafayette struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
