The Indian Creek Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 34 points or more this season. They breezed by Whiteland on the road to the tune of 74-34. Winning may never get old, but Indian Creek sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Indian Creek's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Faith Wiseman, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Wiseman's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Foster, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Whiteland still got an impressive performance from Gwen Higdon, who scored 11 points. Brookelynn Johnson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Indian Creek pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Whiteland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Indian Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Edgewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edgewood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Indian Creek is ranked 77th). As for Whiteland, they will head out on the road to face off against Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Beech Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
