It would take a very impressive performance to take the focus away from Derrick Henry and his chase of the all-time national rushing record, but Will Grier's performance last week did just that.
Grier crushed the national single-game passing record by throwing for 837 yards in a 104-80 win over Harrells Christian Academy. His total topped the previous record of 764, set by David Koral of Pacific Palisades in 2000.
Henry, meanwhile, moved closer to the all-time national rushing record of 11,232 yards with a 404-yard effort in a 56-6 win over Hamilton County. His effort moved him within 100 yards of Ken Hall's 60-year-old national record.
