The Walton Braves waltzed into their matchup Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They snuck past Munroe with a 64-59 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Walton can attribute much of their success to Luke Kring, who scored 28 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kring has scored at least 25% of Walton's points. Camden Zodrow was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Walton's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Munroe, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3-1.
Walton and Bishop Kenny will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bishop Kenny will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while Walton is ranked 138th).
