First Coast hasn't had much luck against Fletcher recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Buccaneers will venture away from home to take on the Senators at 6:00 p.m. First Coast will be strutting in after a victory while Fletcher will be coming in after a defeat.
First Coast took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Andrew Jackson by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.
First Coast had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-7.

MARKAYLA SMILEY produced another solid effort getting 12 kills, seven digs, three aces, and two blocks. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was PAIGE ABBOTT, who had five aces and three digs.
Meanwhile, Fletcher entered their matchup against Wolfson on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Senators fell 3-1 to the Wolfpack.
Fletcher started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 25-18, 28-26.
First Coast will have to contain Ashton Kirton as she made an impact in Fletcher's last game. She had 18 digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlee Troester, who had 13 digs and two aces.
First Coast's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Fletcher, their loss dropped their record down to 22-3.
First Coast suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Fletcher in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Can the Buccaneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
