On Friday, The Beaumont Cougars got themselves on the board against the Redlands Terriers, but the Redlands Terriers never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 59-0 victory over the Terriers at home. The result was nothing new for Beaumont, who have now won seven matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Myion Walker had a dynamite game for Beaumont, rushing for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Christopher Cooper was another key contributor, throwing for 163 yards and three touchdowns.
Beaumont's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.4 points per game. As for Redlands, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Beaumont will head out on the road to face off against Cajon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Redlands, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Redlands East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Redlands East Valley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
