King & Queen Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Northampton as King & Queen Central made off with a 44-24 victory.
Meanwhile, Carver College and Career Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 33-28 to the Blue Devils. Carver College and Career Academy has not had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Carver College and Career Academy had strong showings from Ianaisia Washington, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 18 rebounds, and AJ Sykes, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Washington is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Venus Jenkins, who scored no points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
King & Queen Central now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Carver College and Career Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Everything came up roses for King & Queen Central against the Wolverines in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 70-32 win.
