Douglas County West waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took down the West Point-Beemer Cadets 63-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcon also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Douglas County West's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nolan Asher led the charge by putting up 18 points. With that strong performance, Asher is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Another player making a difference was Zane Wohlers, who posted 11 points.

Several Cadets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Peyton Penrose, who put up 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Schiller, who posted nine points.

Douglas County West's record is now 6-1. As for West Point-Beemer, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Douglas County West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-51 win against Wayne on the 4th. As for West Point-Beemer, they will square off against Fort Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Point-Beemer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season.
