Hall hasn't had much luck against Princeton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Red Devils will face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hall took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Serena, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskers on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.
Madison Krewer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.
At the plate, Caroline Morris was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Burkart, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Hall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Princeton). They put the hurt on Newman Central Catholic with a sharp 18-2 victory on Tuesday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Caroline Keutzer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Taylor Compton also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Hall's record now sits at 6-16. As for Princeton, their record is now 17-7.
Hall might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Princeton when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
