St. John won the last time they faced Fort Bend Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mavericks had just enough and edged out the Eagles 49-46.

Despite the loss, Fort Bend Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydnee Arocha posted 15 points. Arocha is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Morgan Carter was another key player, putting up nine points.

St. John's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

St. John's has already played their next contest (against St. Francis Episcopal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, they will take on Westbury Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
