Acton-Boxborough took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chelmsford Lions, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Revolution have posted since May 2, 2024.
Ila Gillespie made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Gillespie was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Alice Rosecan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Aislinn Ryan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
