Barian Strickland Turns in Season-Best Performance
Northern Nash was led to victory by Barian Strickland, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Strickland's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 133 rushing yards dating back to last season. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 60 yards.
The victory for Northern Nash keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Strickland and Northern Nash will head out to square off against Nash Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bunn had to settle for second on Friday, but Tyler Perry sure wasn't going down easily. Perry was dynamite, rushing for 130 yards on only 13 carries.
Bunn dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Perry and Bunn will head out on the road to challenge Southern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Myles Eatmon's Big Game Leads Northern Nash over Roanoke Rapids
Myles Eatmon's big game helped extend Northern Nash's winning streak to six on Friday. Eatmon was unstoppable, rushing for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
For the year, Eatmon has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 136.2 rushing yards per game.

Walter Royster Turns in Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles
On Friday, Franklinton got the W thanks in part to Walter Royster playing the best football he has all season. Royster made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and snagged an interception. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (two) he has had since back in September of 2023. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last nine games he's played dating back to last season.
The win snapped Franklinton's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5 record. Royster and Franklinton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
