Christian Lester put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Saturday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out four batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Lester and Bellevue East will challenge Omaha South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chieftains had to take a loss when they last met the Packers, but Lester had little to do with the loss: he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
