Wawasee has gone a perfect 8-0 against Triton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Trojans at 11:00 a.m. Wawasee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Wawasee will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Manchester on Friday. The Warriors came out on top against the Squires by a score of 11-7.
Olivia Kirchbaum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Hadley Allen was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Tatum Thorn was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs.
Wawasee hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Triton lost 15-1 to Tippecanoe Valley on Friday. The Trojans have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Triton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addalyn Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Wawasee's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Triton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Triton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wawasee has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Triton, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Wawasee's sizable advantage in that area, the Trojans will need to find a way to close that gap.
Wawasee got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Triton by a conclusive 24-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
