Softball Recap: Ethel Walker Find Success

Ethel Walker never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past Miss Hall 23-0. Ethel Walker's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ayden Riendeau was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Riendeau was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ethel Walker got a massive performance out of Lily Wry, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those stolen bases were Wry's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kara Dabkowski, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

Ethel Walker hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miss Hall's struck out 13 times.

Ethel Walker's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Miss Hall's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ethel Walker will welcome Worcester Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Miss Hall's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Frederick Gunn at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
