They blew past the Charlotte Performance Institute Coyotes 82-62. Given the -'s advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Coyotes are ranked 179th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deontae Pryor, who went 7 of 10 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Montgomery, who posted 12 points.

1 of 1 Academy and Prince George's Christian Academy will round out the year against one another at at 1:45 p.m. on Friday. 1 of 1 Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Prince George's Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Charlotte Performance Institute, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oak Ridge Military Academy at 1:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Charlotte Performance Institute's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
