Phoenix Christian's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Red Rock 23-0. The Cougars have beaten the Scorpions the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Scorpions has come to flipping the script.

Zach Brigowatz made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Michael Carbone was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keaton Raetz, who scored four runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Phoenix Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in ten consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Fountain Hills didn't have quite enough to beat North Valley Christian Academy on Saturday and fell 8-7.

Phoenix Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Fountain Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-1.

Everything went Phoenix Christian's way against Fountain Hills in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Phoenix Christian made off with a 6-0 win. Will Phoenix Christian repeat their success, or does Fountain Hills has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
