North Central waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Forest Park Trojans as they made off with a 50-30 victory. The Jets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 20 points or more this season.
A big part of North Central's win came down to the chemistry between Ben Stage and his top target Riley Cretens. Stage threw for 193 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes while Cretens gained 176 total yards and four touchdowns. Cretens' longest reception was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Kaden Malone was in the mix as well, providing North Central with two touchdowns.
Loss or not, Forest Park got some senior leadership from Trent Kannich and James Smith. Kannich rushed for 154 yards and three scores, while Smith rushed for 69 yards and one TD.
North Central's record now sits at 7-2. As for Forest Park, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
