When it comes to explaining why Oklahoma School for the Deaf lost, one person who can't be blamed is RyJan Reininger. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Reininger hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Russell Fewel, who scored four points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Oklahoma School for the Deaf smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kansas School for the Deaf only pulled down an offensive rebound.
Kansas School for the Deaf got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Orlando Cobos-Sosa out in front who scored 12 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cobos-Sosa has scored all season. Eli Grove was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3. As for Kansas School for the Deaf, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
