Armstrong has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will square off against the Perry Traditional Academy Commodores at 7:00 p.m. Perry Traditional Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Armstrong, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Armstrong earned a 49-39 victory over Obama Academy of International Studies.
Jack Valasek was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with 6 rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Szep, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Perry Traditional Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Propel Braddock Hills.
Armstrong's win bumped their season record to 3-1 while Obama Academy of International Studies' loss dropped theirs to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Armstrong against Perry Traditional Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 65-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Armstrong since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
