It was a good run, but the Danbury Hatters unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilton. Danbury was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Max Jarvie was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds for Wilton. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jarvie has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam McKiernan, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Danbury's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Wilton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danbury will take on the Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Stamford is ranked 17th, while the Hatters are ranked 23rd). As for Wilton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Canaan is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
