This season hasn't been kind to the Haywood Christian Academy Red Wolves, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a 30-12 bruising from Bethel Christian Academy on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Haywood Christian Academy of the 36-25 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethel Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Neveah James, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. James hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cherish Carson, who scored a point along with 12 rebounds and six assists.
Haywood Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bethel Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Haywood Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bethel Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tournament Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th.
