The Skyview Storm and the Eastlake Wolves squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Skyview Storm had to settle for second. Skyview fell just short of Eastlake by a score of 17-14. Skyview's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Skyview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jake Kennedy. Despite the final result, he threw for 265 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastlake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Renfroe, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown. Eastlake also got a significant boost from Grady Woodward, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
Skyview's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Eastlake, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Skyview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eastlake will head out on the road to face off against Graham-Kapowsin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Graham-Kapowsin is ranked third, while Eastlake is ranked fifth).
