The Mineral Point Pointers will challenge the Platteville Hillmen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mineral Point is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 16 games.
Mineral Point's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Cuba City with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Pointers have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Tenleigh Bockhop made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mineral Point hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .405. However, it's not like Platteville struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
